Not a fan of “cracks”….on the ice
Have not been flying a ton as of late due to the weather we have had and my other passion, skiing. Spent yesterday pondering about putting my skis on the plane this weekend. We have a huge storm barreling down on us with over 5 plus feet of snow expected. That means ski flying is just around the corner! The lakes around here that we like to land on are all around 8,000′ or so. Cold temps have been good to us but we still need a few more days. I am not a fan of shooting cracks in the ice! Check out these photos from yesterday….oh yeah, made the AVWeb picture of the week…again!!!

Thanks Kevin for the great pictures/comments. You’ve created a great blog for we tail dragger pilots………Know the black/gold cub owner from TRK!
Don’t fly much any more so your site is a real treat, remembering the old days!
Hope to meet you at Nervino this summer……Bob says Hi.
