Cool photo
As I sit here and listen to the wind scream the rain pound I found this cool photo on the internet… Its worthy… I should be in the air tomorrow as I am hoping the storm passes overnight.
Back to my daily posts here…
Just home from a really great season in Alaska. We just finished 15 years as a heli ski operation.
I spent the past few days changing skis, approved putting the big tires back on and flying around what I call the “North Circuit” here. Winds have been a bit wild but, no rx all in all, website like this its been nice to get back into the swing of summer. I would post some photos from the past few days but I am in the market for a new camera given mine is on a glacier in Alaska somewhere…
Have a look at this photo. I have seen moose antlers, canoes, plywood and bikes along with the kitchen sink attached to floats or struts but never have I seen bikes attached to an aircraft like this. Have a look…
The last week of Heli Ski season
My buddy lives in Homer and does a number of really cool surf trips. He just sent me this photo and had to share it here. Does it get any better?
A few heli shots from the past week
We had a huge high pressure this past week. Currently in the middle of a big storm now with over 3 feet of new snow falling in the mountains. Here are a couple cool helicopter shots from the week.
and then look back up to see your tracks…
Aircraft parks on top of a peak and waits

Pilots like to get creative on my dime…

The past few weeks here in Alaska….my real job
Just some photos for those of you that have been asking for an update. The heli ski season is off to a great start up here in AK. The past few weeks have been superb conditions. These photos will elaborate on that just a bit but still do not do this place justice. Enjoy…
180 and 185’s around Lake Hood and Spenard yesterday
https://picasaweb.google.com/115528061092467996033/LakeHoodSkywagonsFeb2013
Lots of Skywagon’s parked around the lake. If you like looking at airplanes as much as I do, you will like the link I posted above. I drove around both lakes yesterday trying to take a photo of every Skywagon I saw. Its pretty cool to see all the various mods and configurations along with how many of those mods and or configurations are different.
Anyhow, check out the link.

Winter and Summer pics of my bird
Just a few pics of my bird as folks have been asking to see more. I am headed back to Alaska this weekend and hoping for good weather. May need to drive and come back for the bird in a few weeks. Stay tuned…
